Adjunct Asst Professor Mark Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore, where he earned his Masters of Medicine (Surgery). He was accepted as a fellow into both the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Wong then completed a prestigious double Ministry of Health (MOH) sponsored fellowship in Minimally-Invasive Colorectal surgery in France (2010) and Denmark (2014), and pursued his interests in Robotic and Laparoscopic Colorectal Cancer Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital.
Dr Wong is sought after in the field of minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) colorectal cancer surgery and serves on medical advisory boards of several hospitals in Singapore. He is widely published and has been been invited to lecture at numerous international conferences. He has held academic appointments in both Duke-NUS and National University of Singapore Medical schools and was awarded the prestigious SGH CEO Service Award in recognition of his clinical excellence and compassion to his patients.
Dr Wong continues to deliver lectures internationally to both medical professionals and public audiences. He remains passionate about raising awareness on Colorectal cancer and routinely treats these conditions using the latest laparoscopic and robotic techniques to improve patient outcomes.
Dr Wong accepts referrals for all digestive cancer types, with a special clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer, including the use of the latest robotic and laparoscopic technology for best outcomes.
