Finding support as a young woman with cancer
Charlene was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was just 30 years old. She says her mind immediately filled with questions – “Why me? What did I do wrong? What did I do to deserve this?” Although she would face many challenges throughout her journey, including surgery and chemotherapy, Charlene found support in a way she least expected. She is thankful for Icon medical oncologist Dr Karmen Wong, who helped her get through treatment and find a strong support network. Here is her story.
