Dr Loh Yee Jim

Biography

“Cancer can affect anyone. This is why I remain actively involved in cancer research and to providing the highest level of care to my patients – young and old. My goal is to provide them with exceptional care to ensure the best health outcomes.”

Dr Loh Yee Jim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and later with a Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2004. He was accepted as a fellow into the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2009 and completed an additional fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Throughout his clinical practice Dr Loh has specialised in cardiothoracic surgery, having been an invited consultant at notable institutions including the National Heart Centre, National University Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge with fellow surgeons and the next generation of doctors, having been appointed a member of the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) and as an educator at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He has also held appointments with the Cardiothoracic Residency training program in Singapore, the National Cardiovascular Homograft Bank, the KKH ECMO program, as well as the National Paediatric Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Device program.

Dr Loh has been published in numerous research articles and maintains an active interest in ongoing advances to medical technology. He is an invited speaker at numerous local and international conferences, as well as a dedicated researcher.

Dr Loh accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in surgery for lung cancer, chest wall growths, mediastinal tumours and cardiac tumours.
