On purpose – a passion for patient care
An was initially drawn to pharmacy by her passion for science and connecting with others—and pharmacy was a career that perfectly blended both. Post study, she spent her foundational years as a pharmacist at Epic Pharmacy Greenslopes in Queensland, Australia – honing her skills and discovering passions that would shape her career.
New geographies
In late 2016, An marked a career milestone by joining Icon ASEAN in Singapore, but it didn’t come without its challenges.
“The relocation was a challenge at first—adjusting to life in a new country – but soon the opportunity to join Icon ASEAN’s pharmacy operations came along,” she shared. “When Icon reached out with an offer, it felt like home knocking on my door.”
It was during this time that An was introduced to oncology—a moment she describes as career-defining. Immersed in cancer care, she discovered a passion for making a profound impact on patients’ lives and by 2020, expanded her work scope and transitioned into clinical operations and quality.
