Biography
Dr Corinne Ryan is a medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Townsville. In 2005 Dr Ryan obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours at James Cook University. She has trained at many large facilities in metropolitan and regional Queensland including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Townsville Hospital, Nambour Hospital and Redcliffe District Hospital.
Dr Ryan maintains a strong interest in research and has conducted independent research studies in the fields of immunology and oncology. She has also been active in recruiting many patients to clinical trials throughout Australia. Dr Ryan is involved in medical student teaching through an affiliation with James Cook University as a year six adult medicine student coordinator. She also has significant experience in the use of telehealth to facilitate patient care and follow up for patients in North Queensland.
Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, gynaecological cancer and cancer in adolescents and young adults.
