Biography
Dr Manoja Palliyaguru is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Springfield. She completed a Bachelor of Medicine with Honours (MBBS Hons) at the University of Sydney in 2003. Prior to this Dr Palliyaguru had also completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) majoring in pharmacology and physiology.
Through completion of radiation oncology training in Brisbane at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra and Mater Campus Radiation Oncology Services, Dr Palliyaguru was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2013.
In 2014 Dr Palliyaguru was awarded the Windeyer Fellowship by the RANZCR and was provided the opportunity to undertake a Clinical Research Fellowship in radiation oncology at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood in the United Kingdom. Under the broad supervision of Professor Peter Hoskin, Dr Palliyaguru completed clinical work alongside senior clinical oncologists across multiple subspecialty sites and participated in clinical research projects.
Dr Palliyaguru’s special interests include breast, prostate and gynaecology cancers.
