Treatment of leukaemia will be dependent on your type of leukaemia, current health and medical history as well as your treatment preference.
Acute leukaemia typically requires immediate (within 24 hours) treatment.1

- Radiation therapy (rarely)
- Watchful waiting
- Stem cell and bone marrow transplants / Donor lymphocyte infusion
- Surgery (spleen removal)
- Steroid therapy
- Tyrosine kinase inhibitory therapy (CML especially)
- Biological therapy
