With up to 14% of women with breast cancer diagnosed under the age of 40, the impact of cancer treatment has become a significant concern for many young women with cancer. For these women, who face many unique challenges including the impact of cancer on family planning, it is important to understand how breast cancer treatment can affect your fertility. Icon Cancer Centre Singapore Medical Oncologist Dr Lee Guek Eng recently featured in a Facebook Live with 365 Cancer Prevention Society, where she discussed fertility preservation and other specific challenges young women with cancer face.
