Biography
Dr Thean Hsiang Tan undertook his medical studies in the University of Melbourne, Victoria and completed his specialist training in medical oncology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Cancer Centre (RAHCC) in Jan 2010. On gaining his fellowship he was immediately appointed a full-time staff specialist at the RAHCC where he has developed a large practice focusing primarily in the treatment of genitourinary cancers (prostate, bladder and kidney cancers). During his time at the RAHCC, he has acted as the principal investigator in international and collaborative trials in prostate and renal cancer.
Dr Tan is a dedicated clinical tutor to medical students from the University of Adelaide and a clinical mentor to medical oncology trainees. He joined Icon in May 2014. His clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in genitourinary cancers, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer and kidney cancer.
