Dr Huang Xin Yong is a surgical oncologist with more than 20 years of experience in patient care. After graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Dr Huang went on to obtain a Membership in the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Master of Medicine in Otolaryngology (ENT). Following his training as a surgical fellow at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou, Taiwan – one of the largest head and neck tertiary centres in Asia, Dr Huang developed his sub-specialty in head and neck surgery. Dr Huang is a certified practitioner in minimally invasive robotic surgery and sialendoscopy for head and neck conditions, offering advanced and effective treatment that enables patients to have a faster recovery following their surgery.
Before joining private practice, Dr Huang was the Director of the Head and Neck Service in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He was also a Visiting Consultant for the Head and Neck Service (ENT) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital, supporting the head and neck divisions in these hospitals, and the Site Chief for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head & Neck Centre.
With a strong interest in clinical research, Dr Huang helmed the Department of Research in CGH during his tenure. He has also published in several international peer-reviewed medical journals and been invited to present at international conferences. Dr Huang is a reviewer for multiple scientific journals including BMJ (Case Reports) and Singapore Medical Journal.
Dr Huang accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in ear, nose and throat (ENT) cancers including head, neck and oral cavity growths.
