Dr Radhika graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997 and obtained her Masters of Medicine (Surgery) in 2004, followed by the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2008. She completed advanced training as an honorary fellow at the prestigious Nottingham Breast Institute, United Kingdom in 2010 and spent a year working with experts in oncoplastic breast surgery and various aspects of breast cancer management to hone her skills.
She is a general surgeon with more than 20 years of surgical experience and specialises in a range breast conditions such as breast cancer, breast cysts, lumps, lactational problems, nipple discharge and male breast disorders such as gynaecomastia.
Dr Radhika’s strong foundation in general surgery has equipped her in general surgery practice such as endoscopies (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). Her key interests and surgical expertise focus on all areas of breast surgical techniques including oncoplastic breast surgery. She is among the handful of surgeons trained in this complex sub-specialisation in Singapore. She has also published several peer-reviewed articles and chapters relating to breast cancer, breast disease and reconstruction.
She is passionate about serving the public, from volunteering medical services in public community centres in 2000 to being awarded the Service Recognition Award for providing excellent quality care during her service in the public healthcare sector. She can speak both Malay and Tamil and accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in surgery for breast cancer.
