Dr Chew Min Hoe graduated from National University of Singapore with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2001, and later with his Master of Medicine in Surgery in 2006. In 2010, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He went to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney in 2011 to 2012 for his fellowship, where he subspecialised in colorectal surgery. In 2020 Dr Chew was awarded the Public Administration Medal.
Dr Chew has specialist experience in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancers, as well as performing complex pelvic surgeries in locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancers. He also works in multidisciplinary teams and performs pelvic surgery for advanced gynaecological and urological cancers. Dr Chew has a strong leadership background, having been the Head of Department of Surgery and Division Chairman of Surgery within Sengkang General Hospital. He was also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Duke-NUS Medical School. He remains active in organisations including the Council of Surgeons, and also is the current Singapore Colorectal Society President.
Dr Chew accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in surgery for colorectal cancers.
