Dr David Chin is an experienced surgical oncologist who specialises in the treatment of ear, nose and throat (ENT) cancers. After completing his ENT specialist training in Singapore, Dr David Chin pursued his interest in providing in-depth specialised care for patients with nose and sinus conditions and allergies through the Sydney Rhinology Fellowship, the only rhinology fellowship programme outside North America accredited with the American Rhinologic Society. As part of this fellowship, Dr Chin honed his skills in complex nose and sinus disease including nasal polyps, nasal tumours and those requiring revision sinus surgery.

Dr Chin’s expertise includes advanced functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), endoscopic skull base surgery (ESBS), endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) and endoscopic orbital surgery. He also has a keen interest in surgery involving the the nasal airway, including functional septorhinoplasty and the optimisation of nasal breathing for patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Dr Chin served as ENT consultant at Changi General Hospital and was head of the Rhinology Service until 2017 when he moved to private practice.

He was awarded the Yahya Cohen Memorial Lectureship (College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore) in 2013 for research on an advanced technique in frontal sinus surgery. Dr Chin has written scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters, and also serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy and the Singapore Medical Journal. His deep passion in providing the best possible care for patients has positioned Dr Chin at the forefront of advances in the treatment of nose and sinus conditions. In 2021, he was the first to use anti-inflammatory biological agent (Xolair) for the management of sinonasal polyposis. He was also part of the ASCENT team to pioneer the use of ClariFix (a minimally invasive cryotherapy technique for the treatment of chronic rhinitis) in Singapore.

Dr Chin accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in surgery for ear, nose and throat cancers.
