Dr Harish Mithiran is an experienced surgeon, with clinical interests in lung and mediastinal surgery, rib fractures, chest wall tumour surgery, and minimally thoracic invasive surgery.
Dr Harish began his medical career in 2004 at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Malaysia, worked in General Surgery. In 2009, he joined the cardiothoracic surgery department at the National University Hospital (NUH) Singapore, where he completed his advanced training and fellowship in 2013. Since 2014, he has specialised exclusively in thoracic surgery, performing over 2,500 successful procedures. He utilises advanced techniques such as Uniportal video-assisted thoracic surgery (UVATS), Robotic-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (RATS), lung localisation procedures, and navigational bronchoscopy.
Dr Harish’s leadership roles include serving as a Council Member for the Chapter of Cardiothoracic Surgeons Singapore, Treasurer for the Southeast Asian Thoracic Society, and a Board Member of the Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore.
