Dr Kang Ning is an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon, subspecialising in thoracic, vascular and cardiac surgery. In 2001 Dr Kang completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB) at Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University and later received his Master of Philosophy Medicine in Surgery from Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. Dr Kang obtained his fellowship from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Cardiothoracic Surgery) in 2016.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Kang worked as a cardiothoracic surgeon at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) for more than 15 years, and continues to be a visiting consultant at NHCS. During his tenure, he was the only surgeon to perform both heart and lung surgery from 2016 to 2022. His expertise in the field of cardiac and thoracic surgeries was further strengthened in 2022 when he conducted nearly 300 procedures during that year. Dr Kang has also published multiple research papers and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Kang accepts referrals for all cardiothoracic conditions, with a special clinical interest in adult cardiac surgery and minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery.
