Dr Natascha Putri is a highly experienced surgical oncologist with special clinical interests in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of head and neck cancer as well as thyroid and salivary gland diseases.
Dr Natascha has an established history of academic and clinical excellence. She graduated from National University of Singapore School of Medicine achieving the top prize in Surgery and was also awarded the Dean’s List. She was part of the pioneer batch to join the largest ACGME-I accredited General Surgery Residency Program outside of the United States, and received the Ministry of Health Best House Officer Award, as well as the SingHealth Best Resident Award for consecutive years.
She subsequently continued to hone her sub-specialty interests by pursuing concurrent fellowships with the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS) and SingHealth-Duke NUS Head and Neck Centre. This was followed by clinical fellowship and training at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York City, USA. Upon return to Singapore, she enjoyed an extremely busy and fulfilling career at Singapore General Hospital and National Cancer Centre Singapore.
She has contributed to several publications including original research in peer reviewed journals, editorials, and articles in regional and national media outlets. In recognition of her compassionate service, she received the Singapore Health Quality Service (Hero) Award for her work in the dormitories during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She is a strong proponent of inter-professional collaborative learning and remains actively involved in teaching postgraduate medical students at Duke-NUS Medical School, and oral maxillofacial surgery residents as Assistant Professor at the NUS Faculty of Dentistry.
