Dr Ng Chee Yung graduated from University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1997. As part of his postgraduate training, he completed and was awarded an Associate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2002 before earning his Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore a year later. In 2007, Dr Ng completed and was awarded a specialty Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then went on to complete his subspecialty training in colorectal surgery with training stints in Sydney and Korea. He practiced at prominent institutions throughout Singapore including Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he has honed his skill in advanced minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgeries.

He is an active member of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons Singapore, having held leadership positions within the organisation since 2017. Dr Ng has developed his skill as an astute robotic surgeon and takes pride in training the next generation of surgeons through delivering regular lectures both locally and internationally, as well as performing hands-on proctoring for robotic surgery techniques. Research continues to be a passion of his, specifically in the development of advanced techniques in colorectal cancer surgery.

Dr Ng accepts referrals for all cancer types, with a special clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancers.
