Dr Tsao Kin Kwok Stephen is an experienced gastroenterologist and hepatologist, with a special clinical interest in advanced diagnostic endoscopy and endoscopic resection.

Dr Tsao completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Leicester. He subsequently received specialist training at various hospitals in the United Kingdom and Singapore and completed a fellowship with the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology at the Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP).

Alongside his practice at Icon, Dr Tsao is currently a Visiting Consultant at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Vice-Chairman of the Chapter of Gastroenterologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and President of Gastroenterological Society of Singapore. His previous appointments include Director of Endoscopy Services at TTSH between 2019 and 2022, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Dr Tsao is a recognised leader in the field of endoscopy. He has frequently been invited to participate in local and overseas conferences, both as a speaker and to demonstrate advanced endoscopic procedures. He has also widely published in peer-reviewed academic journals.

Dr Tsao maintains a deep interest in teaching and training the next generation of specialists in advanced endoscopic techniques.
